An interior renovation of the first-floor consultation rooms, lobby, counseling room, emergency room, waiting room, and restrooms at Mother's Hospital in Ulsan. Work for construction during the 2025 Chuseok holiday covered spatial planning, modeling and rendering, bespoke furniture drawings, product selection, and completion photography.
Scope of Renovation
The renovation covered the consultation rooms, lobby, counseling room, emergency room, waiting room, and restrooms on the first floor of Mother's Hospital in Ulsan. With construction scheduled for the 2025 Chuseok holiday, the scope of improvements in each space was coordinated around bespoke furniture, finishes, lighting, and products.
In the consultation and counseling rooms, storage, washbasins, and work functions are integrated into bespoke wall cabinetry. In the emergency room, waiting room, and restrooms, wall finishes, lighting, washbasin units, and waiting-area furniture were adjusted to suit existing patterns of use.

One wall of the consultation room is designed as continuous cabinetry combining storage, a washbasin, open shelves, and services. An elevation and exploded isometric drawing were used to study fabrication units and the distribution of functions.
Furniture finishes, a height-adjustable desk, patient and physician chairs, and a mini refrigerator were subsequently selected to coordinate the dimensions and installation of bespoke and ready-made pieces.
Lobby
Three reception counter options compare its connection to the existing space, curved corners, and countertop configuration while largely retaining the relationship between the existing corridor and the consultation room fronts. Corridor lighting color temperature and products for the waiting area were studied alongside them.

Support Spaces
For the emergency room, alternatives were compared for materials and lighting on the wall behind the beds. In the waiting room, benches and small tables were designed together with wall finishes to study how the limited floor area could be used. Restroom elevations and perspectives were used to check the washbasins, mirrors, tile heights, and arrangement of sanitary fixtures.
